Into the Archives with the AACM

The avant-jazz series Snugs hosts a four-week look back at "Chicago Comes to New York," a 1977 festival at Columbia University that showcased the work of storied Windy City experimental-music collective the AACM. Each night features archival recordings from the fest, as well as interviews with participants. On Jan 9, catch percussionist Thurman Barker in conversation with Ben Young.
