This ambitious percussion piece by vanguard composer John Luther Adams plays off the unique environments its staged in. In this case, that’s the Hills at Governors Island and its picturesque harbor view, where a 60-plus crew, including Deerhoof’s Greg Saunier, Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Brian Chase and members of TIGUE, Iktus Percussion and Loop 2.4.3, take on the meditative, swelling work as part of the Rite of Summer Music Festival.
