Irv Irving + Speed the Plough + Senator and the New Republic

Irving is a local singer-songwriter who collaborates with members of the Be Good Tanyas and Stellastarr*; his folkish songs give an amiable nod to early Dylan. Opening the show, Senator songman Adam Greenberg takes inspiration from such '60s melodicists as the Left Banke and the Zombies, and he sings in a Kings of Convenience–style whisper. Nice.
