Magisterial drum vet Jack DeJohnette, whose fluid power and unflappable sense of groove have fueled Miles Davis, Keith Jarrett and hundreds of others throughout a 40-plus-year career—returns to ShapeShifter Lab in the company of saxist Ravi Coltrane and bassist Matthew Garrison. (If you're a jazz buff, you probably don't need us to point out that the sidemen's respective dads, John and Jimmy, played together in a famed ’60s quartet.)
