Lovelorn crooner James Armata clearly listens to a lot of Nina Simone and Jeff Buckley records, such is his reedy, questing vocal style. His debut EP features playing from Elysian Fields' Oren Bloedow and suggests Thom Yorke singing along to the Twin Peaks soundtrack (which is no bad thing).
