James Blood Ulmer and David Murray Blues Big Band

David Murray, a passionate saxophone veteran with admirably catholic tastes, recently hit town with his Cuban Ensemble, which focused on the Spanish-language repertoire of Nat King Cole. Here he leads another large group through an entirely different set of material: new Murray arrangements of pieces previously recorded by omnivorous avant-guitar master James Blood Ulmer, who's on hand.
