Jane's Addiction + Die Antwoord

Fresh off a super well-received Lolla set, the band that practically invented the notion of alternative rock hits town, touring behind last year's The Great Escape Artist. Jane's Addiction's first release since 2003 is a spaced-out record created with TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek on bass guitar—a savvy move on frontman Perry Farrell's part (don't come out for Sitek, as he was present only to record the album). Arrive in time for Die Antwoord, whose February LP, Ten$ion, attempts to shed the gimmick mantle. We'll be the first to admit: Ninja and Yo-Landi Vi$$er's outsider charisma still captivates.
