Jazz in July: Hooray for Hollywood

The 92nd Street Y's swinging annual celebration gets underway with a program built around gems from Hollywood, from Irving Berlin and George Gershwin to Henry Mancini and Johnny Mandel. Pianist Bill Charlap, the creative force behind this series, surrounds himself with stellar artists, including singer Carol Sloane, clarinetist Ken Peplowski and trumpeter Byron Stripling.
