Jeff Ballard Fairgrounds

Best known for his work behind leaders such as Chick Corea, Pat Metheny and Brad Mehldau—as well as in the collective known as Fly—subtly dazzling drummer Jeff Ballard takes a turn as bandmaster, making up a planned 2012 Village Vanguard stand that was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. The diverse, intergenerational supporting cast includes trumpeter Eddie Henderson, pianist Kevin Hays, guitarist Jeff Parker and bassist Larry Grenadier.
