Jerome Sabbagh Quartet + Honey Ear Trio

Honey Ear Trio, the collective of saxist Erik Lawrence, bassist Rene Hart and drummer Allison Miller, offers an eclectic yet cohesive catalog of various approaches to the 21st-century saxophone trio: wistful, groovy, choppy, hard-swinging and much more. Tonight the group plays an 8pm set, warming up the stage for a 9:30pm turn from postbop saxophone star Jerome Sabbagh, who leads a quartet featuring guitarist Ben Monder, bassist Joe Martin and drummer Ted Poor.
