Drummer Jerry Granelli's whispering brushstrokes grace “Linus and Lucy," the best-known memento of his tenure as a member of pianist Vince Guaraldi’s working trio. The San Francisco stick man has also recorded with hit-making folk-pop outfit We Five, cofounded the freaky audiovisual group Light Sound Dimension and played uncommonly meditative free jazz. Happily, the 72-year-old seems to keep his full range of experience in mind each time he performs. Joining Granelli here are saxist Danny Oore and bassist Simon Fisk—both appear on 2011's fine Let Go CD—with vocalist Jay Clayton, Granelli's longtime collaborator.
