Jessica Lurie Ensemble + MODATT

The work of Jessica Lurie splits the difference between downtown jazz and contemporary folk. Tonight the singer and multi-instrumentalist celebrates a forthcoming album, Megaphone Heart, in the company of drummer Allison Miller, banjoist-guitarist Brandon Seabrook, pianist Erik Deutsch and bassist Todd Sickafoose. Also on the bill is MODATT, a promising new trio with Miller, pianist Dan Tepfer and saxist-flutist Ohad Talmor.
