Joshua Rifkin

Though his creative output spans the gamut from Renaissance madrigals to baroque arrangements of Beatles songs, Joshua Rifkin is especially fondly known for his pioneering work on behalf of Scott Joplin, whose elegant rags Rifkin recorded for Nonesuch during the early ’70s. He hits LPR to celebrate the 40th anniversary of those influential recordings, and plays some Bach besides.
