Time Out says

Although the Finnish soprano opens her recital with Poulenc's song cycle Banalités, we can be assured that the evening will be anything but banal. Mattila, whose Salome at the Met in 2004 and 2008 won her unanimous critical praise, brings her raw emotion and dark tone to Debussy's Cinq poèmes de Baudelaire, Sallinen's Four Dream Songs and a selection of Joseph Marx's derrière-garde lieder. Frequent collaborator Martin Katz is at the piano.
