Adam Kromelow, a fast-rising pianist with formidable technique and savvy genre-blending instincts (he's half of a piano duo devoted to prog classics by Genesis), gigs with his airtight working trio, KROM, featuring bassist Raviv Markowitz and drummer Jason Burger. Here, the group gigs behind a recent self-titled effort packed with concise, melody-forward originals. Also on board is pianist Danny Fox's similarly approachable trio.
