If ever a prominent group was destined to make a splash at (Le) Poisson Rouge, it would have to be the Kronos Quartet, which blazed many of the more outré trails that increasingly define contemporary concert life. For the first of its two concerts, on Fri 8, the quartet is joined by the Young People's Chorus of New York City for a program of works by Michael Gordon, Maria Schneider, Bryce Dessner, Missy Mazzoli and Aleksandra Vrebalov. The second program, on Sat 9, includes vocalist Judith Berkson and pieces by Gordon, Clint Mansell, J.G. Thirlwell and Dan Visconti.
