LaLa Brooks

You may not know the name, but you have most definitely heard LaLa Brooks sing—in fact, you may have shed tears to her voice. The Brooklyn-born artist was a member of Phil Spector's Crystals when, at 15 (!), she sang lead on "Da Doo Ron Ron" and "Then He Kissed Me." She's been around the world since then, but has resettled in NYC.
