Northside Festival. Kurt Wagner's Nashville alt-country collective, Lambchop, may have been going since the ’90s, but the band's current album, Mr. M, won them a Pitchfork "Best New Music" accolade—so they've every reason to be playing this hipster fest. The record is dedicated to the late musician Vic Chesnutt, and its songs throb with a warm love for human beings, in their various states of struggle and joy. Expect to be gently wowed.
