Late Night Jam Sessions: Tribute to Herbie Hancock

CareFusion Jazz Festival. Hot on the heels of Herbie Hancock's big birthday bash at Carnegie Hall (see above) comes this promising after-hours hang in the great pianist's honor, hosted by drum dynamo Jeff "Tain" Watts. The promise of "special surprise guests" is certain to pack the house, but really, the astonishing talent confirmed to be here includes Mark Turner, Chris Potter, Marcus and EJ Strickland, Adam Rogers, David Gilmore, Gene Jackson…and that's just scratching the surface.
