Leni Stern Africa Trio

Singer-guitarist Leni Stern was mixing elegant jazz moves with adult-pop balladry long before most of today's best-selling stars had appeared on the scene. More recently, she’s been exploring the music and rhythms of Africa, as on 2013's Jelell, an appealing disc which featured a sabar percussion band of Senegalese griots alongside the trio.
