For the opening musical show of the over-the-edge Darmstadt experimental-music fest, loadbang's bizarre combo (bass clarinet, trombone, trumpet and baritone voice) and the electronic-vocal improv duo Pygmy Jerboa will set off the sine waves in this rendition of Alvin Lucier's Queen of the South. To make matters weirder, the sonic vibrations design an ephemeral sand painting. Experimental noise duo On Structure continues the brain twisting in the second half.
