Logan Richardson Quartet

If, as the old saying goes, you can judge a man by the company he keeps, then we'd say Kansas City saxophonist Logan Richardson is a progressive player who knows his roots, since he's got pianist Jason Moran, bassist Tarus Mateen and drummer Nasheet Waits (a.k.a. Bandwagon) as his support tonight. But why base our words on something as superficial as appearances, when Richardson's incisive playing makes precisely the same point?
