Marika Hughes

A cellist known for her work alongside Vienna Teng and in bands like 2 Foot Yard and Charming Hostess, Marika Hughes lately has been concentrating on expanding her instrument's repertoire with what she calls the "Picasso Commissions," a series of solo-cello pieces composed by artists like Jenny Scheinman, Todd Sickafoose, Eyvind Kang, Carla Kihlstedt and Nasheet Waits.
