In King Khan & BBQ, Mark "BBQ" Sultan plays drums and guitar behind his wild-man friend. But despite King Khan's antics, it's often BBQ's soulful voice, which displays shades of Sam Cooke and Bo Diddley, that keeps the music vital. Here he performs his old-time rock & roll solo, no doubt playing a few instruments at once. Also on board are Dirty Fences, who specialize in righteous, soul-infused garage punk—the aural equivalent of a flame-emblazoned Camaro.
