Maverick Concerts

Because of the hurricane, the Maverick season is extending for one more week for a couple of rescheduled concerts, namely the Shanghai Quartet with pianist Joel Fan on Sat 10 and pianist Ilya Yakushev on Sun 11. The Daedalus Quartet will go on as scheduled with baritone Andrew Garland on Sun 4, performing Othmar Schoeck's Notturno, a rarely heard song cycle that runs a bridge from the late Romanticism of Mahler's lieder and the lyrical departures of Schoenberg and his disciples.
