Max Johnson: The Prisoner

Bassist-composer Max Johnson presents an exploratory avant-jazz suite—sometimes painterly, sometimes violent—themed around the surreal 1967–68 British spy series The Prisoner and recently issued on the NoBusiness label. Rounding out the band are saxist Ingrid Laubrock, violist Mat Maneri and drummer Tomas Fujiwara.
