Like many before them, raucous punk hooligans Mean Jeans say they draw from the Ramones' model for style and sound: incessant rowdy energy, no-nonsense hooks and a commitment to professional partying. They're joined by a band straight from their era of inspiration, exemplary power-pop crew the Beat, which toured in the '70s with heavies like the Police and the Jam; Paul Collins (once of the Nerves) re-formed the band in the ’90s, bumping his name up to the marquee.
