Michaël Attias's Clinamen Orchestra + Soulstorm

A two-week festival curated by the outstanding (and amazingly fecund) Portuguese jazz label Clean Feed gets underway with a double header featuring two disparate, distinguished sax players. Ecstatic tenorist Ivo Perelman is up first at 8pm with Soulstorm, a trio featuring cellist Daniel Levin and a bassist mysteriously identified as #1—you'll be seeing a lot of her or him during this series—and altoist Michaël Attias follows at 10pm with his Clinamen Orchestra.
