Michael Pisaro: Tombstones with Julia Holter

Long esteemed among contemporary-classical and EAI circles for his intensely focused works, in which he creates and sustains tension in a delicate balance of subtle gestures and potent silences, Michael Pisaro presents music from a gripping new studio LP, Tombstones, on which he applies some of the same principles to a pop-song aesthetic. Joining him to celebrate the record's release is his former protégé Julia Holter, a burgeoning art-pop star in her own right.
