For 30 years, the American Festival of Microtonal Music has been celebrating the sounds that exist in between the cracks. In the first of two concerts, ear-bending musicians play detuned (or retuned, if you prefer) works by Johnny Reinhard, Joshua Morris, Stravinsky, Svjetlana Bukvich-Nichols, Mari Kimura, Jacob Druckman, Louis Andriessen and Mark Enslin.
