Harlem Renaissance Orchestra
Lincoln Center's popular outdoor dance-concert series concludes with a rip-roaring performance by this crack Harlem big band, with powerful saxist James Carter standing in for high-flying forebear Illinois Jacquet. Brush up on your swing moves at 6:30pm, then cut a rug at 7:30pm.

This is not a crack band as indicated in this posting. The Harlem Renaissance Orchestra Directed by Mr. RON Allen is a fabulous Band with educated musicians with various backgrounds from Professors in various studies, lawyers, school teachers, entrepreneurs etc... but definitely not a crack band. These guys holds the highest standard of musicianship and dedication to the Art. I personally enjoy the great sounds of the Harlem Renaissance Orchestra. Had a great time and what an experience. The crowd was great, the music was perfect and it was a great evening at the Midsummer Night Swing. Cant wait for next year! For those who did not make it missed the experience of a lifetime.
