Mikko Innanen, a Finnish avant-jazz saxist with a huge, gritty sound and a diverse stylistic palette, hits Brooklyn for a three-night residency. On June 7, he duets with pianist James Hurt, and heads a trio with three double-bassists; on June 8, he plays solo and appears alongside guitarist Raoul Björkenheim and drummer Weasel Walter; and on June 9, he leads a quartet with trumpeter Thomas Heberer, guitarist-mandolinist John Ehlis and bassist Max Johnson.
