Monk Mix

DJ Spooky and a few dozen musical innovators kowtow to the high priestess of postmodern, Meredith Monk, on a new double disc of remixes and reinterpretations of some of her seminal vocal works, called Monk Mix. Many of the performers, including DJ Rekha, Don Byron, John Hollenbeck/Theo Bleckmann, Rubin Kodheli/North Sky Cello Ensemble, Shodekeh and Pamela Z, will be on hand for this record release party. Admission includes a copy of the disc.
