British duo Mount Kimbie first gained fame pushing the experimental fringes of dubstep, before breaking free from the genre entirely, taking its syncopated lurch and percussive claps into airier electronica. Continuing on its path of constant transformation, the band's first new material since 2013, recently debuted live at Pitchfork Paris, finds the innovative producers invoking indie pop guitarists like King Krule as much as dance experimentalists like Four Tet.
