Nas and Damian Marley

Time Out says

The Queensbridge-born MC just keeps bringing it: In May, Nas dropped the much-anticipated Distant Relatives, a reggae-meets-rap collaboration with fellow son-of-a-star Damian Marley. They’ll show off their new sound—which they debuted last summer and have perfected all year—to an eager crowd in Brooklyn, a date that Nas is already getting pumped for. “New York City is home, man,” he says. “It’s like in sports, when you have the home-field advantage. You walk on that stage and feel that extra love. It’s priceless. Anytime I do a show in New York, the main thing I look forward to is seeing how familiar the city is with my newest material. Not sure if I ever did a show in Brooklyn, so that’s going to be something to look forward to, also.”
