When Nas and Damian Marley announced they were collaborating on an album, there was a fair amount of naysaying from those still yearning for the Nas of yore. But the end product—Distant Relatives—is listenable and fun, with some pretty huge beats and righteous servings of both reggae and hip-hop sensibilities. An equally righteous warm-up at this SummerStage bonanza comes from Brooklyn rapper and bon viveur Theophilus London.
