New York Guitar Festival

The New York Guitar Festival is all over the map this week, serving up quirky pairings of distinctive six-string stylists with silent films. On Thu 23, Badi Assad plays along with Wu Yonggang's The Goddess, and Kaki King accompanies Fatty Arbuckle's The Garage. And on Tue 28, North Mississippi All-Star Luther Dickinson strings along with Walter Ruttmann's Berlin: Symphony of a Great City, while Alvin Youngblood Hart scores Arbuckle's Out West.
