Jeffrey Kahane dons both of his musical hats—vibrant conductor and virtuoso keyboardist—in these concerts. He'll lead Bach's Concerto for Violin and Oboe from the harpsichord, with principal associate concertmaster Sheryl Staples and principal oboist Liang Wang as soloists, before climbing onto the podium for Mozart's charming Symphony No. 33. In the second half, Kahane will put his personal stamp on Beethoven's always scintillating Piano Concerto No. 1 from the bench.
