Christoph von Dohnányi returns to conduct our hometown orchestra in excerpts from Hans Werner Henze's scandalous one-act opera The Bassarids, which premiered in 1966 with Dohnányi on the podium, and Schubert's Symphony No. 9, aptly nicknamed "Great."
