Noah and the Whale + Luke Rathborne

Noah and the Whale derives its name from The Squid and the Whale and draws inspiration from a movement that art historians may one day recognize as American Precious. The group's songs provide incredibly depressing, if beautiful, journeys through singer Charlie Fink's tales of love lost—most recently on the new LP, Last Night on Earth. With the neofolkie Rathborne, who has played with members of Antony and the Johnsons and toured with Devendra Banhart, expect to hear bare, melancholy songs, sung with a whole lotta reverb.
