Time Out says

The NoMad Jazz Festival returns for its second year, transforming one of Manhattan's busiest neighborhoods into a sprawling celebration of live music. Running August 28, the weeklong festival features free performances at venues throughout NoMad and Flatiron before culminating in two days of mainstage concerts in Madison Square Park on August 7 and 8. This year's lineup includes acclaimed artists like José James, Ben Wendel, George Cables and The Jazz Gallery All-Stars, alongside pop-up performances, family programming and neighborhood activations. Best of all, nearly everything is free.
