On Silence: Homage to John Cage

In this concert curated by Slovakian-born experimental composer Juraj Kojs, thirteen young composers from four continents were asked to reflect on John Cage's impact on contemporary music. The result is thirteen new pieces written for everything from piano and computers to household objects and musical toys. The catch is that they all clock in at four minutes and 33 seconds, referencing Cage's infamous silent opus, 4'33".
