Time Out says

One of the hardiest surviving exponents of old-school soul, Chicagoan Otis Clay began his recording career in the ’60s, but scored his biggest successes while recording for Memphis's Hi Records in the ’70s. He's continued to record and perform steadily in the decades since, maintaining the gospel-honed intensity upon which his reputation is built. Backing Clay and sharing the bill are up-and-coming local soul revivalists the Revelations, whose take on classic R&B is refreshingly free of contemporary posturing and hip-hop histrionics. Hot young soul singer Eli "Paperboy" Reed deejays.
