What a treat of a bill. Devon Sproule has a river-clear voice and sings her evocative pastorals with just the slightest hint of twang—as you'll hear on last year's lovely Don't Hurry for Heaven. Paul Curreri, her husband, has a deliciously burnished voice and a warm, beguiling and bluesy way with melody (not to mention a hilarious line in stage banter), tonight playing behind his new record, California. The solo sets are each worth the admission fee alone, but there's real magic when the two play together.
