Paul Metzger + Amen Dunes

Minneapolis veteran Paul Metzger is a very worthy heir to the mystic throne of late acoustic-guitar shaman Robbie Basho. Using a variety of retooled banjos and other multistringed instruments—not to mention absolutely stunning technique—he creates sweeping, swirling 21st-century ragas. Also on the bill is Amen Dunes, the tripped-out bedroom-psych vehicle of Damon McMahon.
