Though he's justly famous for his studious incorporation of African influences, Randy Weston also boasts a primary-source connection to NYC bop. The veteran master leads a quintet fronted by tenorists Billy Harper and T.K. Blue, and featuring young, up-and-coming percussionist Ayanda Clarke playing alongside his dad, African-percussion specialist Neil Clarke.
