Reclaim the Coast: Richard Barone + The Roches + Mike Doughty + Elysian Fields + Peter Yarrow and more

Richard Barone—the man who led post-punk combo the Bongos—headlines this oil spill benefit. Other charitable souls on this bill include quirky sibling folkies Maggie, Terre and Suzzy Roche; eccentric Soul Coughing troubadour Mike Doughty; and Elysian Fields, the brainchild of guitarist Oren Bloedow and vocalist Jennifer Charles, and a moody mainstay of the downtown scene since the mid-’90s. First of three nights in the series.
