Time Out says

Your Uncle Al's favorite rap man underwent a conversion to Rastafarianism in 2012 that inspired a brief reggae stint under the new mantle of Snoop Lion. But having since abandoned the moniker, it seems he's returned to his old tricks, announcing himself a born-again Christian and starring in a semi-autobiographical musical.

Featuring tunes from the rapper's recent gospel album, Bible of Life (as well as his canon of hits), Redemption of a Dogg is a stage play that will feature the rap icon himself in the lead role. The story explores the complexities of its protagonist—a persona based on Snoop—balancing his gangsta rap beginnings, role as a family man and dedication to God. Ultimately, the character is faced with a choice between fame on one side, and faith and family on the other.
