Rhythm in the Kitchen

The Rhythm in the Kitchen fest, a celebration of Hell's Kitchen's unlikely concentration of progressive-jazz talent, presents a strong, varied lineup for its seventh edition. Highlights includes fest co-organizer William Hooker's Strings 3 band with violinist David Soldier and guitarist David First (June 8), pianist Eri Yamamoto's working trio (June 7), and the duos of saxist Charles Evans and drummer David Jimenez (June 6), and pianist Denman Maroney and electronics ace Hans Tammen (June 5).
