Stephen Wadsworth’s landmark production of this Handel masterpiece is revived, with superstar soprano Renee Fleming reprising her role as the sequesterd Dark Ages queen. She’ll be joined by the magnificent countertenor Andreas Scholl as the deposed king Bertarido and powerhouse mezzo-soprano Stephanie Blythe as his sister. Baroque opera specialist Harry Bicket is on the podium.
